A young life lost after a 22-year-old died from being in collision with a car on Wednesday 11 July at 6.50pm.<\/p>\n
Amir Hamza from Small Heath was on his motorbike\u00a0outside Adderley Park, Saltley when his Honda CBR collided with a grey Audi estate.<\/p>\n
Within just over five minutes two ambulances arrived and the\u00a0Warwickshire\u00a0and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.<\/p>\n
Paramedics provided emergency first aid at the scene, but Amir was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
A\u00a0West Midlands Ambulance Service\u00a0spokesman said: \u201cThe exact circumstances of what had happened were not clear, but on arrival, ambulance staff found the motorcyclist in cardiac arrest.<\/p>\n
\u201cCrews carried out advanced life support at the scene but sadly, it was not possible to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere were no other patients.\u201d<\/p>\n
Police are investigating the crash and said the car driver, a 35-year-old man, stopped at the scene and provided a negative breath test.<\/p>\n
Sergeant Alan Hands, from the police’s collision investigation unit, said: “This is a shocking collision in which a young man has lost his life.<\/p>\n
“Our thoughts are with his family and they are being supported by one of our specialist officers.<\/p>\n
“We\u2019re hoping CCTV will shed light on exactly what happened in the build-up to the collision.<\/p>\n
“But I\u2019d also appeal to anyone who was near Adderley Park last night and witnessed the collision, or saw the bike or car in the moments before the impact, to get in touch as they could have important information.<\/p>\n
“There may also be other motorists who\u2019ve captured the incident on dash-cams and if so I\u2019d ask them to also get in touch.”<\/p>\n
