A young man has suffered a serious knife injury after a dispute over a collision, turned into a stabbing in broad daylight.<\/p>\n
The incident took place yesterday at around 5:30PM on Coventry Road.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were alerted before ambulance vans and unmarked police cars arrived at the scene. Several armed police officers approached the victim, before medics were then sent in.<\/p>\n
The victim was treated by the paramedics outside a doctor\u2019s surgery, before he was air lifted to a nearby hospital for further treatment.<\/p>\n
Police are currently looking for the knifeman, who is believed to have \u2018fled the scene\u2019 after having injured the victim. They have also closed off the scene while \u2018forensic enquiries are being conducted\u2019, and no arrests have yet been made.<\/p>\n
An official statement from West Midlands Police discloses that the man has \u2018suffered serious knife injuries\u2019 and \u2018has been taken to hospital where his condition is described as life-changing\u2019.<\/p>\n
They also ask anyone with information relating to the incident to call police on 101 as it will help to identify the knifeman as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
