Some of the UK\u2019s most popular British Asian celebrities and influencers have come together to film a parody to Nike\u2019s recent advertising campaign (Nothing Beats A Londoner). \u2018The Other Side Of London\u2019, led by YouTube sensation\u00a0Humza Arshad<\/b>\u00a0(\u2018Diary of a Badman\u2019), features a host of popular faces including music stars\u00a0Naughty Boy<\/b>,\u00a0Jay Sean<\/b>,\u00a0Steel Banglez<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Arjun<\/b>, online influencers\u00a0Hussain Manawer<\/b>,\u00a0Islah Rahman<\/b>,\u00a0Tez Ilyas<\/b>, Bhangra stars\u00a0Juggy D<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0H-Dhami<\/b>\u00a0and DJ\u2019s\u00a0Kandman<\/b>\u00a0& Limelight<\/b>\u00a0(BBC Radio 1\/1xtra\/Asian Network) and\u00a0Bobby Friction<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking about the collaboration,\u00a0Humza Arshad<\/b>\u00a0says:\u00a0\u201cThis has been a really fun project, put together in a very short space of time. As a big fan of Nike and having seen the recent Nike advert, a representation of London culture, I was inspired to create a moment that represented British Asian London. This was an opportunity to collaborate with other like-minded creative talents and promote our unique culture and lifestyle. The group that has come together for this have individually been incredibly successful in their respective fields, so to have them all together to represent our community is a really special moment which I hope will positively showcase and represent diverse British Asian talent from London.\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

BBC Radio 1\u2019s\u00a0Kandman & DJ Limelight<\/b>\u00a0add: \u201cWe have been working in the UK\u2019s urban music scene for many years now and were proud to see grime acts such as Skepta, Giggs and J Hus take center stage in the recent Nike commercial. But we couldn\u2019t help feel that the campaign was lacking British Asian representation, a community which is such a vibrant part of London\u2019s multi-cultural society. Our parody video simply illustrates a strong group of young, talented British Asians coming together to push diversity boundaries in a fun and creative way.\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Whilst the original Nike campaign featured a host of stars including England football manager Gareth Southgate, football stars Harry Kane and Eden Hazard, Youtube sensation Michael Dapaah, and award winning grime star Skepta, \u2018The Other Side Of London\u2019 features a wealth of British Asian talent including: Naughty Boy, Jay Sean, Steel Banglez, Bobby Friction, Hussain Manawer, Arjun, Tez Ilyas, Raxstar, H Dhami, Juggy D, Aida Akhar, Amena, Islah Rahman, Mumzy Stranger, Tasha Tah, Dj Limelight, Kandman, Sevaqk and more.<\/span><\/p>\n
