Aimed at novices, <\/strong><strong>connoisseurs and everyone in between, venues across the city will be showcasing their favourite vines from 23-25 March 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve got some of the city\u2019s best-loved bars with the best wine lists and looks like there will be a bumper sign up for the event.<\/p>\n<p>Award-winning Hotel du Vin leads the line-up as the home of the festival, hosting the Birmingham Wine Weekend Hub where wine lovers will collect their wristbands before setting off to explore the city. Like all participating venues, Hotel du Vin will select two wines \u2013 a white, red and\/or sparkling \u2013 on offer to wristband wearers for just \u00a34 for the duration of the long weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Home to some of the city\u2019s best bars, Colmore BID will be a must-visit destination for attendees, in addition to Bar Opus, venues including Gaucho, Chung Ying Central, Opus, and Great Western Arcade\u2019s award-winning Loki Wine all taking part. They will also be joined by nearby neighbours The Botanist, Cosy Club and Amantia, who will continue the trail into the city\u2019s central shopping area.<\/p>\n<p>Birmingham Wine Weekend has also bagged a number of venues from the Mailbox, including Malmaison, Tom\u2019s Kitchen, Harvey Nichols, and AC Birmingham Hotel. Marco Pierre White and Bardalino in The Cube will join The Canal House in providing the perfect canal-side locations to discover new wines, hand-selected by each venue. Aria at the Hyatt will also uncork two of its favourite wines as one of this year\u2019s official venues.<\/p>\n<p>Much like its sister festival, Birmingham Cocktail Weekend, Birmingham Wine Weekend is all about discovering different venues as part of a city wide journey. Wristband wearers will be able to spend \u201ca night at the museum\u201d as Edwardian Tea Rooms at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery takes part in the festival weekend. Having launched the city\u2019s first \u2018press for champagne\u2019 buttons at the end of last year, wristband wearers may well get a sparkling reception as the team welcomes them through the doors.<\/p>\n<p>Organised by\u00a0<em>Living For The Weekend<\/em>, Birmingham Wine Weekend is set to be an intimate festival giving lucky wristband wearers an exclusive journey of discovery through different wines and different venues. The three-day festival will showcase the best wine lists in Birmingham, with hand-picked venues offering two specially selected wines that will give festival goers the chance to discover something new.\u00a0Wine lovers can purchase a \u00a310 wristband online to get access to \u00a34 taster glasses at each venue, as well as a\u00a0handful of themed events.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the confirmed venues for Birmingham Wine Weekend, founder of <em>Living For The Weekend<\/em>, Alex Nicholson-Evans, comments:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBirmingham Wine Weekend is all about encouraging people to try new wines, explore different venues across the city and experience the thriving bar scene that Birmingham has to offer.
