{"id":2491,"date":"2007-02-20T14:56:12","date_gmt":"2007-02-20T14:56:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2007\/02\/20\/hit-and-run-killer-driver-sentenced\/"},"modified":"2016-01-06T16:47:16","modified_gmt":"2016-01-06T16:47:16","slug":"hit-and-run-killer-driver-sentenced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2007\/02\/20\/hit-and-run-killer-driver-sentenced\/","title":{"rendered":"Hit-and-run killer driver sentenced"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"262\" hspace=\"10\" width=\"180\" align=\"right\" vspace=\"3\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/Image\/ArticleImages\/IbrerFaisal'Hit&amp;Run'.jpg\"\/>THE FAMILY of a pregnant woman killed in a hit-and-run incident alongside her\u00a0nine-year-old son and unborn child in Birmingham have lashed out at Britain&#8217;s legal system after her killer was sentenced to seven years.<\/strong> <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>28-year-old Sarah Hunt, who was 30 weeks pregnant was hit by 19-year-old Raja Ibrer Faisel and dragged 450 yards under the wheels of his Nissan Micra on the A45 on October 2.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Her nine-year-old son Kieran and unborn child were also killed. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Mrs Hunt&#8217;s seven-year-old son Ryan was also hit but survived despite suffering multiple injuries. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The accident was witnessed by the children&#8217;s disabled father just yards away. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Faisel, from the Small Heath area of Birmingham, admitted causing the deaths of Mrs Hunt and Kieran by dangerous driving and was sentenced to seven years at Birmingham Crown Court. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>But the victims family hit out at the jail term describing it as &#8220;disgusting&#8221;.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>A statement read out on behalf of the family said: &#8220;What kind of sentence would ever be good enough to cover the amount of life that has been lost and devastated? None. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>&#8220;As a family we are disgusted at the sentence which only amounts to 18 months per life.
