I have a broom mounted on my wall and several others,\u201d said Jen McCallum, of the Revolution Team.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But that doesn&#8217;t detract from the fact that I do this for a sport.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Teamwork, determination and enthusiasm were key attributes in the sport, said other players of Harry Potter\u2019s favourite game.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a quick look at the rules of a quidditch game:<\/p>\n<p>A team of seven will have one keeper, three chasers, two beaters and one seeker \u2013 all players have a \u201cbroom\u201d held between their legs.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong style=\"font-style: inherit\">Keepers<\/strong>&#8211; Guard the hoops from opposing chasers and become a 4th chaser on offense<\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"font-style: inherit\">Chasers<\/strong>&#8211; Throw the \u2018quaffle\u2019 through the opposite team&#8217;s hoops to score goals worth 10 points<\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"font-style: inherit\">Beaters\u00a0<\/strong>-Throw \u2018bludgers\u2019 at the opposing team to &#8220;knock them out&#8221; and make them return to hoops<\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"font-style: inherit\">Seekers<\/strong>&#8211; Catch the snitch &#8211; worth 30 points &#8211; to end the game<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Harry Potter author JK Rowling has tweeted her congratulations to the West Midlands team who won the first Quidditch Premier League Championship in Hull.
