Bromsgrove-based full service PR and marketing agency, Impression Communications Ltd, has raised \u00a3240 for local charity, Birmingham St Mary\u2019s Hospice, in a sweepstake carried out for the European Championships taking place this summer. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Impression brought together members of the local community with the sweepstake that included the 24 countries within the tournament, with each participant donating \u00a35 per entry.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The PR agency then doubled the \u00a3120 raised to donate a total of \u00a3240 towards the local hospice, as well as donating a brand new, official England shirt or M&S Voucher to the winner of the sweepstake, yet to be decided.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

St Mary\u2019s Hospice is a charity close to many within the local community\u2019s heart, providing support to families and their loved ones during a patient\u2019s illness and also after bereavement. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This support includes respite, symptom management and end-of-life care in the independent adult hospice\u2019s inpatient unit, along with medical support, psycho social and spiritual care, and complementary therapies within a weekly day hospice. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Community Palliative Care and Hospice at Home teams, working in conjunction with GPs, consultants and other medical professionals, also care for many of the 1200 people a year supported by the charity. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Laura Rollason, community fundraiser, St Mary\u2019s Hospice, said: \u201c<\/span>“We are extremely grateful that Impression Communications has chosen to support us with the proceeds of their sweepstake.\u00a0It costs over \u00a38million a year to run the Hospice and to provide crucial specialist care within the community, across Birmingham and Sandwell.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“This generous donation will help us to care for more families when they need it most, and\u00a0help them to make the most of the time they have left.”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Mark Field, Impression Communications company director, said: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to offer our support to Birmingham St Mary\u2019s Hospice, it is important that the local community continues to get behind this incredibly worthy cause. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
