{"id":15136,"date":"2016-06-20T12:03:51","date_gmt":"2016-06-20T11:03:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/?p=15136"},"modified":"2016-06-20T12:03:51","modified_gmt":"2016-06-20T11:03:51","slug":"enjoy-wolverhampton-offers-plenty-for-music-lovers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2016\/06\/20\/enjoy-wolverhampton-offers-plenty-for-music-lovers\/","title":{"rendered":"Enjoy Wolverhampton Offers Plenty For Music Lovers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Music lovers have plenty to tune into during next month\u2019s Enjoy Wolverhampton ten-day programme.<\/p>\n<p>Award-winning Wolvestock Country Music Festival is back at Wolverhampton Racecourse on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday 3, from noon to 8.30pm on both days.<\/p>\n<p>Banstock Acoustic Music Festival will swing into action at Bantock House on Saturday 9, from 3pm to 10.30pm.<\/p>\n<p>Councillor John Reynolds, City of Wolverhampton Council&#8217;s Cabinet Member for City Economy, said: &#8220;Wolvestock is a popular country music showcase and I\u2019m sure the line-dancing will be in full flow again as people Enjoy Wolverhampton.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very excited about the first Banstock, which promises to be a fantastic, family-friendly event in the picturesque surroundings of Bantock Park.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is particularly pleasing that Banstock will be able to showcase the skills of so many highly-talented local performers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Wolvestock 22 acts include Dee D &amp; The James Gang Band, Emma Swindells Band, Shotgun Annies, The Ash Cooper Band, Narn, Angels with Dirty Faces ft Stuart Landon, Henry Smith Band, The Diablos Band, Holloway Road, Acoustic Journey, Texas Tornados, Darcy Crawford, and the Blue Genes Band.<\/p>\n<p>A vast array of trade and food stalls, and a bar will also be on offer at the Dunstall Park venue.<\/p>\n<p>Day tickets are priced at \u00a37 adults, \u00a34 children (5-16), with free parking.<\/p>\n<p>For more information call 01902 556706, e-mail\u00a0Nicole@wolvescivic.co.uk, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wolvestock.com\/\"><u>www.wolvestock.com<\/u><\/a>, search Wolvestock on Facebook or @wolvestock on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>Bantock House Museum and Park is set to host the all-new one-day acoustic music festival, Banstock.<\/p>\n<p>The festival will showcase local talent and is being headlined by Wolverhampton\u2019s own Ivor Novello award-winning songwriter, Scott Matthews.<\/p>\n<p>Other acts include Birmingham post-punk skiffle outfit Terry &amp; Gerry playing their first gig in Wolverhampton since their recent support of Status Quo at Wolverhampton Civic Hall.<\/p>\n<p>Former frontman of The Lines, Alex Ohm will also be making an appearance fresh from his sell-out show at Birmingham\u2019s Institute. With The Lines, Alex\u2019s local support was such that he played several sell out shows at the Wulfrun Hall and his solo project will be one of the highlights of the first Banstock.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are on sale, priced \u00a316.86 including booking fee.
