A woman has been exposed to an upsetting sex attack by a fellow passenger as she travelled through Birmingham on a train.<\/p>\n
The 21-year-old, from Worcester, boarded on Shirley railway station in Solihull when a man, who was described as Asian and in his 40s, sat beside her and started a conversation.<\/p>\n
He then began touching the disturbed woman improperly and attempted to kiss her, before he left the train at Smethwick Galton Bridge.<\/p>\n
She was not hurt; however, she was deeply upset by the shocking episode.<\/p>\n
PC Martin Fenly from British Transport Police in Birmingham, said: \u201cThe woman was not hurt during this assault but she was left extremely distressed by what happened.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe take all reports of unwanted sexual behaviour on the railway extremely seriously and we do all we can to support victims and find those responsible.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have carried out numerous enquiries to establish who may be behind this assault, including speaking to people who were on the train at the time and examining any available CCTV footage.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have now uncovered an image of a man who we would like to speak to and I would urge anyone who knows his identity to contact us.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
