A police bus faced a horrific car bomb attack in Central Istanbul which has resulted in the death of seven officers and four civilians.<\/p>\n

Officials said: \u201cThe explosives were remotely detonated as the vehicle passed through the busy Vezneciler district at the morning rush hour.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kurdish militants have in recent times targeted security services however no group have confessed that they were the ones behind the attack.<\/p>\n

President Recep, Tayyip Erdogan says: \u201cTurkey will fight the terrorists to the end.\u201d<\/p>\n

The explosion took place close to the city\u2019s historic Beyazit Square neighbourhood which is a major tourist attraction and holds an Istanbul university building.<\/p>\n

Istanbul\u2019s governor, Vasip Sahin said: \u201cAbout 36 other people were injured.\u201d<\/p>\n

A grand total of 47 people were affected by this incident alongside their loved ones.<\/p>\n

After visiting some of the injured people in hospital, Mr. Erdogan said: “These (attacks) are being carried out against people whose duty it is to ensure the security of our people.<\/p>\n

“These cannot be pardoned or forgiven. We shall continue our fight against terrorists tirelessly until the end.”<\/p>\n

Turkey’s Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, said: \u201cThe attackers were cold-hearted for exploding bombs on the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.\u201d<\/p>\n
