Celebrities joined dignitaries, as guests like <strong>Amy Jackson<\/strong>, <strong>Olivia Grant<\/strong>, <strong>Nancy Dell&#8217;Olio, <\/strong>former\u00a0Prime Minister of Pakistan <strong>Shaukat Aziz<\/strong> and <strong>Lizzie Cundy<\/strong> took to the FROW <em>(front row)<\/em> to marvel at the collections.<\/p>\n<p>Held at the luxuriant <strong>Mandarin Oriental Hotel <\/strong>in Knightsbridge, Fashion Parade was founded by <strong>Sadia Siddiqui,<\/strong> <strong>CEO at Mustang Productions<\/strong>, as a platform for South Asian designers to showcase their couture to a British audience. She says: <em>\u201cI am delighted by the response we received from Fashion Parade. I feel it&#8217;s a defining moment for Pakistan, as last night we celebrated Pakistani culture at its best, and our guests, designers and also the media have all been so supportive.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI feel with Fashion Parade, we are shifting perceptions of Pakistan; after all, this is a country rich in art, culture and heritage. Pakistan\u2019s fashion industry is so vibrant and the collections showcased at Fashion Parade took flavours of the East and mixed them with Western influences, which worked incredibly well. I\u2019m very proud of our designers and of Mustang Productions for highlighting the best in Pakistani fashion.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Fashion Parade 2016 showcased the work of ten leading designers, who created spectacular collections with fusion flair. Guests were blown away with couture from <strong>Faiza Samee, Studio S by Seher<\/strong> <strong>Tareen, Hira Shah<\/strong>, <strong>Khushboos by Chand, Nomi Ansari, Ali Xeeshan, Saira Rizwan<\/strong>, <strong>Mehreen<\/strong> <strong>Noorani<\/strong>, <strong>Raishma<\/strong> and a special grand finale by <strong>HSY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Models walked down the runway in elaborate floral settings designed and created by award-winning florist <strong>Zita Elze<\/strong>. The hair and make-up was provided by dynamic duo, <strong>Aamir Naveed <\/strong>and <strong>Ambreen<\/strong>. This year, the vibrant event was fashion with a cause, supporting the charity <strong>Save The Children<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Fashion Parade was launched in 2013, in association with <strong>Ammara Hikmat <\/strong>of <strong>Encyclomedia PR<\/strong>, in London\u2019s Asia House.
