Priyanka Choprah made history at the People\u2019s Choice Awards in Los Angeles when she became the first ever South Asian star to bag a big prize.<\/p>\n

The Bollywood bombshell took home the \u2018Favourite Actress in a New TV Series\u2019 award for her acclaimed role in American TV thriller series \u2018Quantico,\u2019 beating off popular Hollywood competition like Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele and Marcia Gay Harden.<\/p>\n

Looking radiant as always, the former Miss World stunned in a glittering gold and silver dress designed by prominent fashion designer Vera Wang<\/p>\n

\u2018Quantico\u2019 sees Priyanka\u2019s first venture into Hollywood and the star is obviously turning heads with her portrayal of FBI agent, Alex Parrish.<\/p>\n

As well as receiving an award, Priyanka also presented the award for \u2018Favourite Movie\u2019 to much- loved action-hero Vin Diesel for \u2018Furious 7.\u2019\"vin-diesel-see-you-again-peoples-choice-awards-2016-05\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Hollywood hunk, who accepted two awards for the film, took the opportunity to pay tribute to late friend and co-star Paul Walker.<\/p>\n
