The course is aimed at beginners; don\u2019t worry if you don\u2019t have much experience. All you need to do is bring a camera (a phone will do) and come along.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThis will be held on Wednesday 11th February 10am-3pm The MPV, 1 Intown Row, Walsall,WS1 2AD. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nExpert trainers will be present including Faith Through A Lens organiser Margaret Slater and judge Hazel Thompson. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThere will be an opportunity for some on location work at GhosiaQasmia Trust Mosque and Central Methodist Church Walsall<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nKey Facts:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Multi-Media Arts Project Walsall<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThe Multi Media Arts Project (the MAP) are a local Charity whose main aims are to support the reintegration of\u00a0 young people and vulnerable adults back into employment, education and training, through the use of the arts and sport as engagement tools.\u00a0 They provide a range of musical workshops including guitar, DJ-ing, recording studio and art sessions both visual are through the use of Photography.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hindu Christian Forum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nTheir vision is Hindus and Christians working together with mutual respect to strengthen relationships, understanding and learning of each other\u2019s faith.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hinduchristianforum.co.uk\">www.hinduchristianforum.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Black Country Near Neighbours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThe idea is to bring people together who are near neighbours in communities that are diverse, so they can get to know each other better, build relationships as people and collaborate together on initiatives that improve the local community they live in.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nNear Neighbours has two key objectives:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nSocial interaction \u2013 to develop positive relationships in multi-faith areas i.e. to help people from different faiths get to know and understand each other better.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nSocial action \u2013 to encourage people of different faiths, or no faith, to come together for initiatives that improve their local neighbourhood.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThey have a local coordinator based in the Black Country called Ruth Burgess who is helping to develop a network of people who want to improve life in the area and can help provide money for local groups who will work together to build bridges across the barriers of culture, nationality and faith.\u00a0 She also has links with some national agencies who can provide special expertise and training so that we can be effective and make a positive impact long into the future.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nGrants between \u00a3250 and \u00a35,000 are available, providing seed capital for local groups and organisations who are working to bring together neighbours, to develop relationships across diverse faiths and ethnicities in order to improve their communities.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nNear Neighbours is funded by the Government Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).
