Birmingham-born actor, comedy writer, documentary maker and radio and TV presenter Adil Ray will be headlining the next in the series of Birmingham City University\u2019s City Talks.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n


\nDuring the free event Adil will be interviewed by journalist and Birmingham City University Visiting Professor Donal MacIntyre, where Adil will share his experiences as well as welcome questions from the audience.<\/p>\n


\nThe event takes place at the University\u2019s Parkside Building on\u00a0Thursday 3rd April.<\/p>\n


\nAdil is the star and creator of the BBC One sitcom Citizen Khan which enters its third series later this year. Set in Birmingham, Citizen Khan follows the trials and tribulations of self-appointed Muslim community leader Mr Khan and his long suffering family. Adil has also presented across all four main BBC TV and Radio networks including hard-hitting documentaries on sexual grooming and the role of Islam in Turkey.<\/span><\/div>\n

\nThis free event is part of Birmingham City University’s new public lecture series, entitled City Talks, which features a programme of high profile speakers who will share their views and insights on a range of topics and will be open, free of charge, to local people.<\/div>\n
