Volunteers from Alum Rock Community Forum and the national One Nation Charity deliver food for staff, at Heartlands Hospital courtesy of local businesses.
Variety of food such as pizza, curry, samosas and pakoras are piled up to be shared out among the staff.
Javed Iqbal, from Alum Rock Community Forum, said locals were determined to do something positive to show workers how much they had the backing and hearts of the city.
He said deliveries would continue daily until they were no longer needed.
“People feel quite helpless so this is one thing we can do – make sure the nurses and doctors and staff are all well fed.”
He said various local businesses had contributed to the call for donations and the charity One Nation had coordinated the delivery.
