Police are investigating after a teenage boy was stabbed by a group of men near bullring shopping centre.

The 17-year-old stumbled into the bullring near Zara after he was stabbed on Monday 9 March in the evening.

The boy was seriously injured.

Police are investigating and are carrying out CCTV trawls in the area to identify the attackers.

Anyone with information is urged to get in touch with them asap.

A statement from West Midlands Police read: “We are investigating after a teenager was stabbed near the Bullring in Birmingham last night (9 March).

“The 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

“We believe he was attacked by a group of men at around 7pm and that he went into the Bullring near Zara to seek help after.

“We’re currently examining CCTV and speaking to potential witnesses as we need to identify this group.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman added: “We were called at 6:59pm last night to reports of a stabbing at the Bullring in Birmingham. We sent one ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene.

“We treated one patient, a teenage male, for injuries.

“He was then taken to hospital for further treatment.”
