Many of us wile away the endless commute or the hectic school run dreaming of getting away from the grind; of moving by the sea to listen to the waves or living amongst lush green rolling hills. Well dream no longer, as now a brand new C4 show is here to help make this fantasy into a reality.

Each episode sees presenters Sara Damergi and Kerr Drummond make it their mission to help eager house hunters decide between moving to the coast or the country.

Sara spent much of her childhood in Kent and went to school in the countryside so her allegiance is clear: ‘You get so much for more for your money in the country – and who needs a sea view when you have the chance to have forests and streams on your doorstep, and of course the local pub!’

Unsurprisingly coastal aficionado Kerr doesn’t agree: ‘Sara is very good at finding quaint country villages but we’re an island and the sea is in our blood – it may be more expensive but its worth it when you consider all the coast offers, from seafood and surfing to a buzzing cultural life.’

Sara’s experience house hunting on C4’s ‘Place in the Sun’ and Kerr’s background as an interior designer makes them fearless in their pursuit of that perfect property, whatever the budget and wherever the dream.  Their friendly rivalry has seen them scour the cliff tops of Cornwall and scale the rugged mountains of Wales, and taken them across the dales of Northumberland to the golden sands of Suffolk. But if you want to know who is winning the battle of ‘Coast V Country’ you’ll just have to watch the series on Channel 4 this autumn. And if you are considering a move to the coast or the countryside anywhere in the UK and you’d like some expert help, email househunters@coastvcountry.co.uk.
