The Clothes Show in association with Alcatel will return to the NEC Birmingham from 2-6 December 2016 with an exciting new line up of fashion, beauty, live music, and industry experts. Priority tickets go on sale on Monday 6th June and general release will be Wednesday 8th June.

Renowned for discovering talent across its 27 year history, The Clothes Show is recognising and celebrating the work of young people within the creative industries; launching The Clothes Show Discovers – a search to find a male and female artiste who will have the opportunity to perform in the iconic Alcatel Fashion Theatre, in association with Capital FM over the five days of the show.

The Clothes Show Discovers team; Creative Director, Andy Turner and Music Director, Desmond Lambert, will be scouting online portals, festivals and music’s venues to seek out the best undiscovered talent.  Selected artistes will be given the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience at a gig in London, with a male and female singer being invited to be headline acts in the Alcatel Fashion Theatre at The Clothes Show this December.

This year’s Alcatel Fashion Theatre named Rock The Runway will bring together fashion and music with over 40 models and dancers alongside the newly discovered artists, in the worlds most vibrant and mesmerising catwalk show.  Trend presentations from high street favourites, compiled by ITV’s fashion presenter, Mark Heyes, will offer visitors an insight into AW16 must haves plus a host of well-known faces will appear in the theatre each day.  Presenter and fashion expert, Laura Jackson, will kick-start the first day on Friday 2nd December.  After presenting on the Image Catwalk at The Clothes Show in 2013, Laura has gone on to be one of TV’s brightest rising stars, hosting Take Me Out The Gossip alongside Mark Wright.

The Clothes Show is a notorious hub for discovering new boutique labels as well as well top brands within the fashion and beauty worldReturning this year, The Clothes Show’s Boutique Boulevard will give visitors the chance to shop in pop up stores from the likes of Lavish Alice and Sugarhill Boutique. 

Oasis, Maniere De Voir, Pauls Boutique, South Beach, Claudio Lugli, Adanola, In Love With Fashion and Shoe Embassy will add to the line-up offering fashion-forward collections for AW16 while the Designer Outlet will return with the most sought-after labels.

Completing the look, a host of hair & beauty brands including Rimmel, Barry M, Lee Stafford, Models Own, Spectrum Collection, Cocowhite and Elemis will be on show.

One of the fastest growing and innovative sports fitness brands in the UK, Gymshark, will be making a debut at the show and will be the official backstage active wear supplier of the Alcatel Fashion Theatre.

Adding to the shopping experience will be three stages showcasing exciting content from talent and industry experts. The newly branded, Discovered Catwalk in association with Cosmopolitan Magazine, will allow visitors to see collections from the Boutique Boulevard, as well as discover the latest trends from the graduate showcase. A host of bloggers and vloggers will take to the stage for Q&A sessions including Sarah Ashcroft from That Pommie Girl, who will be at the show on Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th December.

The Style Studio, hosted by fashion expert Antonia O’Brien, will offer exclusive trend presentations and interviews from leading designers; as well as a host of fashion, beauty, and health experts and some of the UK’s leading editors.  TV favourite, Mark Heyes, will return to the show presenting trends from the catwalk to the high street.  Mark will transform basic looks into key trends for the autumn season live on stage. The ‘Curves with Confidence’ workshop will show visitors how to dress different body shapes with valuable style advice.

In the search for the future generation of fashion talent, The Clothes Show will be on the lookout for the next big thing in the modelling world! Having already spotted the likes of Erin O’Connor, Holly Willoughby, and Nina Porter at the show, The Clothes Show’s official model scouting agency Select Model Management will be looking for the next ‘face of’ The Clothes Show.

Professor Caryn Franklin MBE, will lead the educational programme at The Clothes Show, which continues to grow year-on-year, boasting insightful content on careers across all areas of fashion. Over the past 27 years, the show has seen over 1.2 million students pass through its doors demonstrating The Clothes Show’s leading position as an industry gateway for the young creatives.  The shows Creative Career Seminars, hosted by Caryn, allow students to listen to a panel of experts within the industry while the annual Creative Awards discover the country’s best up-and-coming talent across a variety of disciplines including art, design, photography and journalism.

Kystle Gohel, runner up Young Make up Artist of the Year in 2010, worked alongside Luke Pluckrose, Creative Director of Saks Art Team in the Alcatel Fashion Theatre, to create a range of stunning looks. Camille Sanson, who has an extensive fashion portfolio, returned to shoot the campaign for a second year, captured an inspiring campaign reflecting the new direction The Clothes Show is taking this year.

From fresh faces, new music, cool labels, and stylish trends, visitors will be able to discover the next big thing at this year’s show!
